We are a community of makers located in Southern California designing and making modern lighting and furnishings in the most sustainable way we know.  If you are an interior designer, member of the trade or just need beautiful diffuse light in your own home or business, we want to re-introduce you to Modern American Craft.  Please browse our popular offerings of pendants, table lamps, sconces and chandeliers or learn about the principles and people that directly inspire our work

Our products rely heavily on the virtues of natural fibers.  In our lighting line, cotton and linen are hand-folded into geometric forms that diffuse and filter to create an even and warm light free of distracting hotspots.  In our furniture products, birch, hemp, paper cord, poplar and other species of timber give our chairs and tables the strength they need to stand up to daily use.  We love natural fibers for these qualities and their inherent sustainability.
